What's in a name?
Virtually anyone can hang up a shingle that titles them a Financial Advisor. There is a significant difference between the many various and sundry titles floating around and a Certified Financial Planner.
Certified Financial Planners have been in the business and studied for about two years to pass a rigorous two-day examination. Further, they are subject to another level of examination and jurisdiction, the Certified Financial Planer Board of Standards.
